World Cancer Day
Today is World Cancer Day and Errol spoke to Professor Michael Herbst and Head of Advocacy Joel Perry at CANSA. The two guests spoke about illness that is affecting millions of people across the globe. They spoke about how cancer can be managed if detected and diagnosed at an early stage. CANSA (The Cancer Association of South Africa) has a campaign every year called "Shavathon" which is used to create awareness and raise funds for cancer patients.

Fraud
Bart Henderson, President of The South African Institute of Corporate Fraud Management spoke about fraud. Bart shared with our listeners the implications one is faced with they become a victim of fraud. He also told listeners to be vigilant and cautious with giving out their personal information. The problem of fraud and scam alike is increasing in South Africa. Some of the most common ways of conning people is through lottery scams, 419 scams, and credit and debit card duplications.

In our open line we received a lot of calls discussing the Public Protector’s son crashing her car. Callers had mixed reactions, some said she should be held responsible for the incident and should be charged. Other callers said the police should be blamed for not doing their job by arresting those that commit unlawful acts. The other discussion the listeners had was about the murder of Eugene Terreblanche. Callers speculated who could be responsible for the murder of the AWB leader
